How to Choose a Iron Frying Pan
When selecting a cast iron skillet, consider its material, craftsmanship, family size, the type of dishes you want to prepare, and your cooking methods. Also, factor in the type of stove in your home or if you plan to use it for camping. Each use case differs, so let’s explore your options.
Select by Material
All frying pans sold at Frying Pan Village are made of "iron".
iron
Advantage::This is an all-purpose material that retains heat well and can be used for any kind of cooking. The more it is used, the more it absorbs oil and becomes non-stick. It is highly durable and can be used for a longer period of time than pans made of other materials.
Disadvantage: Clear coated iron frying pans need to be cleaned before first use, such as by "oil seasoning" and "oil return" until the oil has absorbed into the pan. Failure to do so may cause scorching and rusting. In general, iron frying pans are slightly heavier than pans made of other materials, but we also have a lineup of lightweight types that are easy for even women to handle.
pure iron
Advantage: This type of frying pan has the advantages of an iron frying pan, but is manufactured with high purity iron for high thermal efficiency. It is the ultimate iron frying pan.
Disadvantage: More expensive than regular iron frying pans.
Choose by Finish
Clear Baked Coating
Iron is a material that rusts easily, so it is rust-proofed before delivery to the customer. Before first use, "oil tempering" is required, and "oil returning" is required until the oil has become accustomed to the pan.
hard-tempered frying pans
Hard tempering is FUJITA KINZOKU's proprietary process that makes the pan oil-accustomed from the start, "scorch-resistant" and "rust-resistant. When the customer receives the product, it can be quickly washed and used immediately.
